Event: CNG Japan, JAMSTEC Yokohama Institute for Earth Sciences, Yokohama, Japan
CNG Japan is a half-day community meetup of the Cloud-Native Geospatial Forum for practitioners working in and around Japan.
This talk introduced RAPIDA, a semi-automated geospatial analysis tool for rapid crisis response that I developed at UNDP. When a crisis such as a natural disaster happens, RAPIDA quickly assesses the exposure of people, buildings, electrical grid, roads, land use and the economy within an area of interest by computing zonal statistics from curated global geospatial datasets, and publishes the results to UNDP GeoHub.
